Worley & Obetz, Inc. is proud to introduce its new “RoundUp Program” aimed at funding worthy charities within its Central Pennsylvania market.
It’s a simple concept with big fundraising potential, according to Jeffrey B. Lyons, President/CEO of Worley & Obetz headquartered in Manheim and Lancaster.
Worley & Obetz developed the program to make “giving back” a convenient process for its customers. “Our customers now have an easy opportunity to ‘round up’ their payment amount a few cents or even dollars that will go directly to a charitable organization,” Lyons says.
But that’s not all. Making the RoundUp Program even more attractive to donors, Worley and Obetz has pledged to match their customer’s contribution, up to a predetermined amount, to support the start of this program in 2017.
“This is our way to work with our customers to make a positive difference in the communities we serve,” Lyons shares.
First on the list to benefit from Worley & Obetz customer and corporate generosity is the Veterans Honor Park of Lancaster County, a permanent tribute to past, present and future U.S. Armed Services veterans. It is being built in Warwick Township, a project of the park’s steering committee, the Lititz Public Library and local government.
After establishing a well-received Veterans Discount Program for their customers in 2014, Worley & Obetz management and employees felt it was important to find additional ways to continue to support and honor veterans and active duty military.
“Through the Veterans Honor Park of Lancaster County, we are able to provide our customers an opportunity to make a donation in honor of the selfless dedication of every Lancaster County man and woman who has made sacrifices for our freedom,” Lyons explains. “That echoes our company values. We think that’s important.”
